Here at Copper Cove Pediatric Dentistry, we are committed to providing your child with the best possible dental care in Herriman, Utah, by utilizing high-quality treatments and continually furthering our knowledge and skills. Dr. Hardy and Dr. Bushell are both board-certified pediatric dentists, but what does this mean and how can it benefit your child’s oral care?
Board certification is achieved through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and it marks the highest level of excellence in pediatric dentistry. While all dentists must attend dental school to earn their degree, some choose to continue their education through post-doctoral dental graduate programs, such as residencies, to meet the requirements for board certification. These dentists must complete a series of oral, written, and clinical examinations, as well as 125 hours of continuing education every five years. Currently, about 1% of dentists have achieved board certification.
If your dentist is board certified, he or she has demonstrated a strong commitment to patient care and set the standard for dental excellence. He or she also strives to maintain a high level of skill and knowledge by constantly pursuing the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry. As a parent, you can rest assured that your child’s smile is in capable hands.
We invite you to contact our office today for more information about board certification and to schedule your child’s next appointment.
