In some ways, it might seem funny to write about how you’ll be able to tell when your infant is teething. You’ll know the signs right away, and everyone within earshot will as well; the baby’s not going to be silent about it. But it’s good to be prepared to assist your child quickly so you can keep the tears to a minimum, for your crying and the baby’s.
Please note that not all children display the same symptoms of teething; most children will start teething between the ages of half of a year and one year. A few of the symptoms of teething include drooling, swollen gums, pearly whites visible underneath the gums, sleeping irritability, rejecting food and attempting to chew, suck and press their teeth into everything. If your child has a rectal temperature higher than 100 degrees Fahrenheit, please phone our office now. Other warning signs you should tell us about include vomiting, diarrhea and refusal to eat food or to feed.
