As your children grow, their smiles are rather susceptible to dental issues. You can help prevent those dental issues so they can develop strong and healthy teeth and gums. One thing you can do is to pack lunches that help their teeth. Here are some helpful tips:
Believe it or not, you’ll want to avoid applesauce. Applesauce has natural and added sugars that can damage your children’s teeth. You also want to avoid fruit substitutes like juice, fruit snacks or fruit leathers. These have nowhere near the same nutrients as real fruit and the fruit snacks can stick to your child’s teeth and cause dental issues. Instead, try raw, non-citrusy fruits like apples , bananas or strawberries. Add some cheese, yogurt, or plain milk to give your child’s teeth some calcium, and some water-rich vegetables like carrots and celery to help wash away bad bacteria and strengthen their teeth.
